ALL ABOUT GATES

Most driveway gates today are constructed from aluminium. There are a variety of sizes used from 40mm to 50mm box section the most common and uprights normally 16mm round or 19mm round.

Brisbane Gates prefer to use the larger size in Aluminium for frame work, for the strong chunky look. We use 50mm x 50mm box and the larger 19mm rounds. Buffed off welds to leave a smooth finish on the face of the frame.

Most gates over the 1400mm height we like to add a mid rail normally in the centre or two thirds closer to the bottom rail. Top side of the gate we normally add two horizontal top rails. Customised gates also fabricated.
